About Us

Outdoor seating area with autumn foliage in the background. — Rockville Elks Lodge 1359
Outdoor seating area with autumn foliage in the background.

The building at 9 N Park St has a way of pulling people in. Maybe it's the worn charm of the historic structure, or maybe it's the sound of a Connecticut band warming up on the outdoor stage on a Friday night. Whatever brings you through the door, the bartenders at Rockville Elks Lodge 1359 make sure you feel like a regular by the end of your first drink.

The back patio is the real gem here. Spring through fall, it fills up with neighbors catching up over cold, affordable drinks while local acts take the stage on select weekends. Inside, the dining room turns out homemade meals at prices that feel like a throwback, because the kitchen actually cooks from scratch rather than reheating anything out of a bag.

Lodge 1359 has been part of the Vernon community for generations, carrying forward the Elks' commitment to charity, veterans' support, and local giving. Membership opens doors to events, discounts, and a network of people who genuinely look out for one another. But even if you're just stopping by as a guest, you'll find the welcome is real.

What We Offer

The Lodge runs a full-service bar stocked with your everyday favorites at prices that don't require a second look at your wallet. On select weekends, the outdoor stage on the back patio hosts local Connecticut bands, turning an ordinary Saturday into something worth planning around. The patio itself is open spring through fall and seats a crowd comfortably.

Homemade dinners are served regularly, with rotating menus that lean on comfort food done right. Think hearty, satisfying plates at a fraction of what a restaurant would charge. The Lodge also hosts private events, lodge meetings, and community fundraisers throughout the year, giving members a reliable venue for everything from birthday gatherings to charitable drives.

Membership in the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks brings access to the national network of over 800,000 members, local scholarship programs, veteran outreach initiatives, and member-only pricing at lodges across the country.

"Very impressive venue to see a show and enjoy the fall skies. I saw LA's Back Stage Pass there and enjoyed the time I spent there immensely. Only suggestions would be hire enough help behind the bar. Decent beer selection and on tap selections as well. I had a Counter Weight IPA very good!"

"It's ashame to see the condition of the lodge and grounds. They have decorated dramaticly in the past years. It is ashamed because they had a venue that was fantastic for celebrations. The carriage have was great. The mansion was stunning. If they had promoted it properly they could have financed the upkeep of the property over the years."

Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
